Sounds like he needs to find a new job.
What is very bad about this particular situation is he preyed upon someone in rehab. I guess they were, both, in rehab.
I hope they find a replacement with better morals and values.

It is sad to always see that someone fell, but I am not sad that it isn’t a preist this time.

Although, I know some fundies are anti-TBN because they let Catholics have shows on that channel. Sigh!

Maybe we will get blamed somehow for our Godless, idol worshipping sins harming him.😛

Sadly, I have to say that I am not at all surprised at this.
The gold and glitter, the “health and wealth” Jesus they preach on that channel is a gospel very foreign to me. Not the gospel message I know and love.

One gets the sense there is much lurking under the surface of the facade of their whole “empire.”

They need much prayer.👍

If that is true…then all I can say is…

Oh well… too bad…

Hope he repents and asks forgiveness…

But if true…I hope his show gets cancelled and I dont have to see him, his THRONE CHAIR… his wifes highhair and heavy makeup… as well as his twisting the bible for his own ends…wanting to call down Gods WRATH on those who disagree with him, Benny Hinn, etc… GOOD RIDDANCE…

First the Catholic Church…now hopefully the Lord is CLEANING some EVANGELICAL HOUSE as well!

Bennie Hinn is NEXT! 👍

God bless those faithful who erroneously follow him… may this scandal dissillusion them and inspire them into coming over to the Catholic Church with all the zeal they showed as before. 🙂

Someone else on these forums said it first–bling-bling theology.

How very sad indeed. But let us be careful not to take the attitude that, “He got what he had coming”. As Christians, we should pray for him. What he did deserves punishment, but God forgives ALL sins, if only we ask, thank God for Confession!.

Note that
In court papers, Crouch has denied the allegations, and ministry officials have described Ford — who has a history of drug problems and has served time for a sex offense — as a liar and an extortionist.
We need to be careful about judging here with very limited evidence

I agree. So far it seems to be at the allegation stage, and the one making the allegation seems to have a less than sterling character. Though we may be tempted to think the worst of those who we don’t particularly like, everyone is innocent until proven guilty.

The Los Angeles Times has scandalised several priests (RC).

I am sorry that Mr. Crouch has this problem, but I am thankful that the Los Angeles Times printed this story. It is not only Caatholics who have problems, eh?

I find the Los Angeles Times no more dependable than the New York Times, and somewhat less subtle in their prejudices.

What has happened to “but by the grace of God go I” attude? Why are we so happy to read or hear about anyones apparent fall from grace. To be honest I am ashamed of my reaction to reading the story.

We really don’t even know that he HAS truly fallen, do we?
This is just like seeing it in any media and judging from that.
Prayer, prayer, prayer…the only good answer.

on another note…I like that definition above as “Bling bling theology” I encounter a lot of people who hold a “word of faith”, “name it and claim it” sort of religion and I just have to get away from 'em 'cos they have no concept of the second half of the 11th chapter of Hebrews (the faith chapter…)
We can try to hide it anyway we want, but Jesus promised us trials & persecutions if we follow him. “deny yourself, take up your cross daily, and follow me” he said; NOT “deny yourself nothing, take up your cross daily, and follow me”

If these alligations are true and Mr. Crouch is lowered a few pegs, then we should pray to him. Maybe he will be lead, or someone else is led by God to plant some Catholic Church teaching to him.

Conversion takes place sometimes when people hit their ‘rock bottom’.
We just pray and let the Holy Spirit do His work.

Go with God!

surely I have misread postings here, and none of the good Christians on this forum is rejoicing in sin of another and the publication of that sin, nobody is judging another on the basis of hearsay, and nobody is actively hoping that another preacher lose his pulpit due to sin and its revelations. And surely no one here is implying that they, or Catholics in general, or priests or more or less sinful and prey to temptation than other mortals.
