It’s been a bad bad poopy day! OCD is flaring, heavy time of the month, I’m crabby, Husband isn’t happy, parents aren’t happy, honked at a guy with roadrage today, just BLARGH. I know these days are common but if there’s anything to help my temper in Catholicism, I am ALL for it.

Of course self control and Pamprin help lol:o

Thanks for your help!

Quiet time alone. If I’m that crabby, I don’t’ inflict myself on others. Whenever I feel bad, I pray a rosary and ponder Mary at the foot of the Cross. I imagine that’s the worst that a life can get. To see one’s child suffer and die. Everything pales after that.
Hope you are feeling better soon. Take care of yourself!

Oh Katpants - I truly understand! Just keep working on it. My goal is to be like the late Archbishop Howard; whenever he got angry he never said anything more than, “My, my.” And sometimes, “My, my, my.” 😃

I’ve learned over the years to keep my mouth shut and my opinions (or at least some of them) to myself.

I recently had a few counseling sessions to resolve some old problems. I have some symptoms of dependent personality disorder, plus PTSD with depression/anxiety.

One of the solutions I am beginning is to keep a personal journal. It is for my eyes alone, and I can analyze and therefore understand what is going on, particularly when I have a cloud hovering over me for several days at a time. I had horrendous emotional issues on a monthly basis until maybe seven years ago, so I wish I would have started doing this a long time ago.

Don’t be embarrassed because it is all about you, because it is!! 😃

Just remember that helping others goes a long way towards resolving self-pity, and going to Mass at least three times a week is an excellent antidepressant.

Thanks! 🙂 I am feeling better…2 lava cakes from Dominoes helped lol! lol

Make an Act of Contrition and ask for the grace to handle things better next time. :o Breathe, try to lower your blood pressure. Petting an animal helps with that if you like animals (I do). The Rosary is a help with slowing down and with getting added graces. The St. Michael prayer helps against the devil. And sometimes a good nap can’t be beat! 👍
