A large part of it depends upon how you define “freedom” and measure “success”. Either in worldly terms and human insecurity or through the Kingdom of God reality. Here are a couple pertinent scriptures to consider as you work out your “temptations again”:

Philippians**, *Chapter 2:3-4 “***Do nothing out of selfishness or out of vainglory; rather, humbly regard others as more important than yourselves, each looking out not for his own interests, but (also) everyone for those of others.”

Matthew**, *Chapter 6:25-34 ***"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat (or drink), or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds in the sky; they do not sow or reap, they gather nothing into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are not you more important than they? Can any of you by worrying add a single moment to your life-span? Why are you anxious about clothes? Learn from the way the wild flowers grow. They do not work or spin. But I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was clothed like one of them. If God so clothes the grass of the field, which grows today and is thrown into the oven tomorrow, will he not much more provide for you, O you of little faith? So do not worry and say, ‘What are we to eat?’ or ‘What are we to drink?’ or ‘What are we to wear?’ All these things the pagans seek. Your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom (of God) and his righteousness, and all these things will be given you besides. Do not worry about tomorrow; tomorrow will take care of itself. Sufficient for a day is its own evil.”

Read the Bible
Attend Mass
Go to confssion regularly
Pray

I have actualy been someone that was a “weak” prayer - I just didn’t do it a lot. It was one of my New Year’s resolutions this year. So I started doing the Liturgy of the Hours in the morning, and for some reason itdidnt resonate with me - I dint feel enriched from the process. So about 3 weeks ago, I started praying the Rosary. Wow! I can tell the Holy Spirit has gotten strong in me, it must be Mary’s intercession! I really feel much stronger in resisting temptation! I really look forward to it now, and I pray both alone and after Mass during the week.

Oh - last year was my “Get close to the Bible” again: year. I read the whole Bible in 12 months.

I can tell you, over the last 16 months my spiritual strength is orders of magnitude stronger than it was! Thank you Jesus and Mary!

The bible teels us for everything there is a season–meaning there are many stages we pass through–some of which help prepare us for tasks and challenges we will encounter later on. I don’t know how old you are…but if you are in school/starting a career–it CAN be stressful. But it is also a preparation and foundation for starting and raising a family. Perhaps you need to get off the treadmill, as it were, and examine exactly what your goals for your future are and how what you are toiling so hard at today will help/hurt what you want for your future.
