Did anyone attend one yesterday ? I was at St John Cantius in Chicago for one and it was incredible. It ran from 7:30 till almost 10. People think Catholics in the pews don’t sing much, but there was alot of participation during the Psalm responses.

I attended the Office of Tenebrae last night (Wednesday) at the Cathedral in Seattle. Very powerful, as always. I was happy to see lots of young families with their children in attendance. This is exactly the type of thing that kids will remember and start to look forward to every year as Easter approaches.

The Dominican Parish in town offers Tenebrae during the traditional morning time slot during the Sacred Triduum. I’ve never been but they do things right there and I am sure that it is not only reverent but also very well attended.

I’m in a men’s Gregorian chant group. We sang an abbreviated form of Tenebrae. It was well attended and very nice. The parishioners look forward to it every year.

That’s my Parish! 😃 Do you attend there, or was it just the one time?

Unfortunately we had to forgo Tenebrae this year - our son just won’t sit that long and there was no one to watch him.

I love the ending. Very powerful.

I’m not a member of St John Cantius because it’s a bit far for me, but I make it there fairly often. I was there for Palm Sunday and again tonight for Holy Thursday.

It’s wonderful that you’re able to make it down there sometimes! It’s a really great Church.

I could do without having to pay for parking, but that’s the City… eh. Rant for another time.

I was at a seminary last week at a come and see and I participated in my first tenebrae and it was amazing. I loved it so much, I want to try and get my parish to do it.
