I’m reminded of that awful feeling I would get at workplaces. That coldness you feel in a bad relationship. That pretence. When you know someone has little or no respect for you. Or is hiding either resentment or anger over an incident.
Then you realise you cant please everyone. That not everyone loves you. You held on to that childish notion for too long. You need to learn to cope with that sick feeling in your gut. The world is not as nice a place as you thought. The honeymoon is over. An idealistic nature didn’t help. You needed more pragmatism in order to survive.
Maybe what you really needed was God. But your notions of him were too immature.Too simplistic. You needed better mentors says he who doesn’t want to take responsibility for his own poor choices.
