Terrell Davis' T Shirt(read CATHOLIC T SHIRT)

It’s NBA All Star Game weekend in Las Vegas and there’s
lots of folks come to town to ooh and aah ond ogle over the
the, admittedly, amazing athletic feats of the best b-ballers
on earth. At the Monte Carlo where I work the front desk
I saw a guy yesterday with what I exclaimed to him was “…
the coolest T shirt I’ve seen all week!..”. The person wearing this T Shirt was former Denver Broncos star running back
Terrell Davis. Great shirt. On the back across the top of his
back was scripted an ornate “DEFEND THE FAITH”. On the
front a faith filled mishmash of scripture passages in what looked to be Hebrew and/or Aramaic script as well as a big bold Cross. I flashed Mr Davis a wave of the Sign of the Cross and he returned it. That was cool!

I think that’s pretty cool, too. Sometimes it’s hard to be a Christian in our culture, & I think it must be incredibly difficult in the sports world & in Hollywood. I think when these people show their faith or take a courageous stance (like making a movie like “The Passion” or coming out with a statement like several celebrities did against the amendment in Missouri that legalizes therapeutic cloning, Missouri Amendment#2) I think they should be supported for it. I’m glad you let him know you liked his statement with his shirt…
