Is it wrong to test people to see what they will say or react to you? I don;t mean this in a bad way, but just to see people’s true colors or simply to see what their response would be. Hope this makes sense, because i don’t know how else to explain it.

I suppose it depends on what it is, you might make them angry.
Would you like it if someone did it to you? I sometimes look at things this way.

Ok, well to make a long story short, this girl I’m friends with is on my blackberry and she seems to msg me if she’s nosy or wondering what I’m doing etc. I don’t want to make her angry but I kinda wana make her wonder or see if she msgs me to see if I’m right and write on my status something.

It may not be wrong at the time, but it will lead to problems, because it is not honest.

Maybe your question is a test to see what response you get.

This sort of thing is called “playing mind games,” and most people don’t like it. It’s a lot better just to be honest with people. If this person is annoying you, just tell her so in plain language.

Is this because you have a basic mistrust of people?

Is it not better to trust others until such time as they let you down? It might be a hard way to learn lessons about another, but if we go around being too cynical about human nature and being too mistrusting of others, then aren’t we living a very tense life? Why would another trust someone who doesn’t trust them? If we do get hurt, or ripped off, it’s not a reflection on our character, but on the one who transgressed on our trust. In other words, by being trusting, we are giving another the opportunity to repay our trust honestly.

No. You give a false impression of what you believe in. There is plenty of shock that comes naturally when differing opinions collide. If you’d like to see an example of this just look at my posts and the impassioned reactions I get!

Don’t be a phony to get a rise out of people. Be yourself. Others will definitely let you know how they feel, and how!!
