Mindful of Thanksgiving, I wanted to start a thread that others could add their thanks to as well. We are all so fortunate, in so many ways and I just want to say Thank You Lord!

Lord, I am Thankful that I gave my life to you over 7 years ago now. You have truly led me in the right path, and answered my prayers in such a way that I always got something better than what I had first asked for. Thank you Lord!

God bless you, Frank. Thank you
Gratitude is close to God.
It has seemed to me that the fault of “Adam” and “Eve” was of ingratitude. Instead of being thankful for all that they were given and all that they were free to do, they were miserable for the one thing they couldn’t have. It is easy for us to make this error also.

“Gladness of heart gives life…console your heart, chase sorrow far away: for sorrow has been the ruin of many…and worry brings premature old age.” [Ecclesiasticus 30 22-24]

“Pray constantly; and for all things give thanks to God.” [Thessalonians 4:18]

Well, I am thankful for being able to be in His Church, for my Faith, for CAF (like minded individuals to help me on this journey toward Him), for all the things that God allows in order to draw me closer to Him (even if I don’t like a particular thing that is happening with me), for my family, for all the help they give me, for my daughter and grandchildren, for holidays (they’re almost magical), for traditions, and for numerous other things I couldn’t think of just now.

Frank, I didn’t see your post… and I went ahead and started another TG thread. Sorry! I should have scrolled down… :o

I would like to paste my response from the other thread… if I may.

"To all of my fellow Americans… I wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving Day.

I was thinking about all of the blessings… which Our Good Lord Jesus has bestowed on my mother and I, this year. We have so much… that a big part of the world, doesn’t have.

And so, with a grateful heart… I thank You, Lord Jesus. For the roof over our heads; the food on our table; for family and friends; for our new Pastor, Father John… and for our other two new priests. All of them, are truly like fathers to us. This has been a great blessing.

If anyone would like to share some blessings… please feel free. God bless you and all of your families and friends."

ALSO… the story of my little “culinary” miracle…

"I’m not “known” for my skills in the kitchen. But being alone with my elderly mother… the task of preparing the Thanksgiving Day meal falls to me now

So… before I started cooking… I knelt before a little picture of Our Lady of Fatima… which I keep in my kitchen… and I asked Her to please help me with the cooking.

You know what? SHE DID!

Everything turned out perfect! We had a delicious Thanksgiving feast! Our Lady answers our smallest prayers! She is the most wonderful Mother!"

God bless. 😃
