I really don’t know where to put this post, but this board seemed appropriate.

How do I write to Mother Angelica? I cannot find a good address that will go to her. I really want to thank her for all that she has done. I am reading one of the books that she has written and I am in love with her wit and her to the point discussion of things. Not to mention, she only founded a huge media empire that is providing Catholic information to people all over the world. How cool is that?

Basically, I want to send religious fan mail. I even have cute stationery picked out for it.

I would start with EWTN. They probably have a link on their webpage with an address. Good luck!

Unfortunatley, Mother Angelica is bed-ridden. She cannot speak or write I think. I’ve visited the Shrine of the Most BLESSED SACRAMENT 3-4 times now, and I haven’t been able to visit Her. I know the Brothers at the Shrine very well etc., but She is bed-ridden unfortunatley…

You could always write a letter to EWTN thanking her, or to Her sisters

Poor Clare Nuns of Perpetual Adoration, Hanceville Alabama

Or a technique that will always work:

Giving thanks to the SACRED HEART OF JESUS, for blessing us so wonderfully with such a great modern day saint!! (She isnt canonised yet, I know… I bet you anything she will…)

When Mother Angelica hosted her weekly call-in show, she was told by an off-camera staffer that she would get mail simply addressed:
Mother Angelica
Irondale Alabama 35210
Could not address an envelope any simpler.

I love Mother Angelica, I’m reading her biography now, she’s so funny. 🙂

Back in 2003-2005 my wife and I lived in Irondale AL, just around the corner and over the hill from the EWTN facilities. We often thought about stopping in to see if they gave tours of the place, and if the on-screen broadcasters worked there or elsewhere. I really enjoyed her common-sense advice and endearing manner, all the while making her points. She reminded me of so many nuns I knew when I was a Roman (and very Irish!) Catholic. God bless her and keep her in the palm of His hand.

Thanks, everyone! I knew she had been bed ridden and she had a stroke a few years back, but hopefully someone will read some of her mail to her. 🙂 Lately I have gotten some really great stationery and so I felt the need to send some nice letters to people that have made a difference.
