My cat has been meowing and waking up my whole family and me early in the morning for a long time now to the point where we’re losing sleep because of him. He keeps peeing in other parts of my bedroom outside of his litter boxes. He’s been doing this for a long time. He’s really ill-behaved and it’s driving me and the rest of my family nuts. I really don’t want to have to take him back to the shelter but at this point I’m getting so frustrated that there may be no other choice than to do just that. Please pray that my kitty stops misbehaving and that the rest of my family and I can deal with him.

Here is a link to help with the peeing outside the litter box:

My cat was also crying loudly at night. To solve this problem, we played with him (toys and string) about an hour before we went to bed to tire him out.

You may also want to talk to your vet about this problem and see what he/she has to say about the matter.

I pray your cat calms down and you are able to keep him/her. I love all animals and hate to see them in a shelter. Maybe you cat just needs a lot of TLC. I know my cat is very needy and needs lots of love.

I hope things work out for you.

God Bless

Cats are natural predators , they hunt at night ,
I guess that what it wants to do , it wants to Rule a territory …
You received the Cat from a Shelter , It’s also Proable that it was free to Roam by a previous owner , If the Cat is not desexed , that too will cause this rebellious behaviour …
It’s tough , but perhaps replace it with another with less issues ,

OP.is he free to roam the house at night? If so, stop letting him do that. Mine get bedroom privileges on certain terms.

Else they sleep where they cannot mess or annoy

Any new arrivals are crated until they settle down; takes time the settling. He is simply marking his territory. Enclose him a while so he can settle .

Is there eg a bathroom where you can put a warm bed and a litter tray where he cannot do any damage or annoy folk?

Getting rid is a drastic step but if you are going to be shouting at him all the time, this will make him worse.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.
