The 7 extra books in our bible

I know there is a list of The new testament readings that seem to be quoting from our 7 books we have in the old testament. I know this will help prove that the early Christians excepted these books. Anyone have a good source I could go to to find The new testament verses that go with some of these books. Also we had a reading from wisdom(One of the books our protestants dont have) a couple of weeks ago in Mass that prophecised the passion of Jesus does anyone have both the old and new testament verses from the other week.

And I would think that the new testament verse could not be fortold in any other old testament verse because that would disprave that the verse was quoted from one of the 7.

The USCCB has the readings for every day posted on their website. If you can remember what day it was then you’ll be able to find it.

I think I should also point out that the deuterocanon is not seven extra books, rather they are seven books that Protestants took out.

It would be seemingly easy enough, but you wouldn’t believe that there are those hardline fundy’s who say the entire Septuagint was made up in the fourth century…and took New Testament Scripture and wrote those lines into the Septuagint…:rolleyes:

Actually, what you want to say is that the early Christians **accepted **these books. To **accept **is to include. To **except **is to exclude.

I know they sound alike, but they actually mean opposite things.
