The "abomination of desolation"

Jesus says In Mark 14:1 'So when you see the 'abomination of desolation’ spoken of by Danial the prophet, standing where it ought not then let those who are in Judea flee. . . ."

What does “the *‘abomination of desolation’ *standing where it ought not’” mean. Thank you.
 
According to my Douay Rheims (where it’s actually Mark 13, not 14, as well as in Matthew 24), the chapters refer to Jesus’s foretelling of the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem and the signs of the last judgment. According to Daniel 9 (first reference of "abomination of desolation) 27 the Douay Rheims has this to say:
The abomination of desolation"… Some understand this of the profanation of the temple by the crimes of the Jews, and by the bloody faction of the zealots. Others of the bringing in thither the ensigns and standard of the pagan Romans. Others, in fine, distinguish three different times of desolation: viz., that under Antiochus; that when the temple was destroyed by the Romans; and the last near the end of the world under Antichrist. To all which, as they suppose, this prophecy may have a relation.

I’d like to give some thoughts on the abomination of desolation. I don’t think it is anti christ, as in most places in scripture it is called a thing. But I do think the antichrist places it “where it should not be”. What is it? The Body of “A jesus christ”…in The book of machabees Antiochs Epiphanes places the statue of a false god in the temple…satan battles St. Michael over the body of Moses…This jesus will lead many astray…he will call down lightning from the church that is theologians & even Bishops… the true faith will be" proven " to be a fraud…the thing will be placed in the vatican…the papacy which is now holding this back will be usurped…the Pope will flee to Portugal where the catholic faith will be preserved. Antichrist will make this thing perform wonders & claim this is the 2nd coming…antichrist will be the new pope persecuting most who hold to the true faith. This is why St. paul etal stress to hold fast what you’ve been taught.
