The Abortion Debate Nobody Wants to Have

We want to have the large, fancy house.

We want ot have the fancy fast car.

We want to have the 1.8 perfect children.

And we complain about the global economy taking jobs away from us and giving them to people that have a very small and modest house, no car, and several “imperfect” children.

Parents of handicap children are treated like this, People are extremly hostile when their precious tax dollars might be spent on some retard kid that should have been aborted in the first place. Why do I know this? Because I have been the target of their cruelty. My son (17) is severly mentally retarded, Autisic, mute and seizure disorder. I have been told “It is ridiculous the money wasted on educating some little retart so he can learn to color a tree green instead of purple, when so much is needed for OUR NORMAL CHILDREN” (this was actually said at a Board of Ed. meeting) I am sick and tired of defending my decsion to have my son and I am sick and tired of being told what a dregde on society he will be. I am sick and tired of parents telling me to remove my child from a playground(when he was younger) because he frightens their children. I am sick and tired of parents of telling me I should get him sterlized so he can’t reproduce(he is autistic-hates touch of others-this I doubt would ever happen) I am sick and tired of being sick and tired of all the people in this world thinking they can stick their noses into my life because I had the nerve to bring an imperfect child into this world. My son has taught me more in his 17 years then most people can in a lifetime.
