I am a lover of the Church Fathers, they have played a big part in my journey to the Catholic Church. Anyway, I ran upon “The Acts of Barnabas” a while back, and I found it to be very interesting for a few reasons. Some would say that it is just apocrapha, and indeed it is, meaning it is not to be considered Sacred Scripture. But, I have come to believe that St. Mark actually wrote it. And St. Mark writes about the same story St. Luke wrote about in Acts of the Apostles when Barnabas and Paul split up over Mark. But where Luke carries on with Paul and what he did after the split, Mark in the Acts of Barnabas writes about where him and Barnabas went. This document from Mark is very accurate concerning the geographic locations that are mentioned. And everything that Mark mentions in this version of his is very sound doctrinally. It is a very fascinating read, plus it does not take too long. Read it and see what you think!!
