I hope that many of us will attend Mass on Wednesday to welcome Jesus, Our Savior. We can join our Blessed Mother in Her wonder and thankfulness that the Word was made Flesh and dwelt among us so that we might be able to spend eternity with them in Heaven.

I will be there, as I go to Daily Mass, also that is the day I made my consecration to Our Lady, ( St. Louis De Montfort) many, many years ago. God Bless, Memaw

We have a High Mass and reception for the Annunication, as we did for St. Joseph last week. These are the only two days during Lent when one sets aside one’s Lenten denials, so we get an eager crowd.

Yep, I plan on going. Our new priest has daily Mass during lent and Mass everyday but Monday the rest of the year. “HURRAY”

That’s a nice birthday you have, Clare. 🙂

Indeed, it is a special day for which I hope Catholics make an extra effort to get to Mass. I will be directing a choir which will be singing at a High Mass tomorrow evening…I am so looking forward to it!

Very cool. What will you be singing?

(It’s also the Feast of St. Dismas…the good thief)

Sang the beautiful Mass IX “Cum Jubilo” settings and Credo III for the Ordinaries; we sang Daily, Daily Sing to Mary for the processional hymn, Arcadelt’s Ave Maria, Salve Mater Misericordiae (beautiful chant hymn!), O Sanctissima, Ave Regina Caelorum chant (solemn tone), and Immaculate Mary for the recessional.

I know that all Masses are really a piece of Heaven, but I really felt that was the case at our Mass today! I am more and more developing a devotion to Our Lady, and I am “in love” with the Mass IX settings and all traditional Marian sacred music. The Propers for today were absolutely beautiful as well. I realize that not many people probably even had the option of going to a sung Latin Mass today, so I am grateful to have the opportunity, and I had one of the best Feast Days ever! God is good.

I hope everyone else had a great Feast Day as well. Nine months to Christmas…haha. 🙂 Just joking, sort of. In any case, the Annunciation, when it falls during Lent (which it usually does, I think), is always a nice break from our Lenten journey, and indeed, it can even enhance our Lenten journey. I look forward to Holy Week, followed by the glorious Easter season. Our Catholic faith is so awesome. 😃

And I did not know March 25 was also St. Dismas’ feast day. Always good to learn something new about the Church!
