My recollection is that these folks are decidedly anti-Catholic but I can’t find much on them. Does anybody have any references? Someone I know is involved with them and is about to go off on an evangelization trip to Europe and I’d like to help them understand what they’re mixed up with.

Thank you all and God Bless You! Pray for Terri Shiavo

They are a fancy shmancy group of fundamentalists, who by their very nature are anti-Catholic.

I’ve got that part but I need to know some specifics–an article, a book, some written nonsense they’ve published on the web or anywhere.

Don’t know anything about them. I do know that your b.s. antennae should spring up when you see people identifying themselves with the Bereans (cute usernames, etc.) They are under the misapprehension that the Bereans accounted in Scripture were Sola Scriptura 1500 years before the Deformation.

interesting tidbit of info: according to the Apostolic Constitutions (VII, 46), Onesimus–Philemon’s slave–was the first bishop of Beroea, home of the “Bereans”

They are associated with the famous anti-catholic Dave Hunt the author of the classic well sort of for funides the Whore of Babylon wonderfully refuted in the Catholcism and Fundamentalism. Search for articles concering this by typing in Dave Hunt and the Whor of Babylon that should help you figure out where this fundie group is coming from.

They are so fundamentalist that upon review of the passion fo the christ a movie many evangelicals supported they proclamied Gibson guity of idolatry by merely have Jesus on celluloid?
SOme sort of Islamic christianity if you ask me now we can;t have Jesus in picures? Gee do they take pictures of their faimily and do the Bereans think they are creating a sin by having faimily picures?
Guess they don;t see the incosistency here.
