I would like to share a humorous story, which happened some year’s back.

A bishop had come to a parish to celebrate mass. The parish put out all of the stops for His Grace’s visit, knowing that he was quite conservative and the parish had a reputation for being a bit on the, um, “liberal” side of things.

Apparently, though, someone forgot to tell somebody something, because after communion and before the final blessing, while the bishop and the pastor were sitting next to each other in silent momentary prayer, this music started up over the church’s speakers and a young woman in tights came out and started to do a liturgical dance! She danced around the altar, in front of the stunned bishop, and finally concluded by bowing to the congregation before prancing off.

There was this silence in the air as the congregation wondered what the bishop would do. Finally, he turned to the pastor and said for all to hear, “And if she wants your head on a platter, she can have it!”

I think I like that bishop. 🙂
I doubt the pastor and congregation will ever forget his comment.

“And if she wants your head on a platter, she can have it!”
Funny story! However, I don’t think the Bishop was telling the Pastor that the Bishop thought of him in the same manner as St. John the Baptist!

:dancing: That was so funny…thanks for sharing, it gave me a good laugh to start my morning off.

😃 Wonderful:D

Now give an update…please.

Did the pastor keep his head, much less his parish??
