Just watched the pilot. Interesting show. Violent. But at least it’s on at 9pm cst.
What do you think?

I didn’t watch it. I liked Studio 60 so I was protesting.
And here I thought I was the last Studio 60 fan! I work late, so I wouldn’t have seen The Black Donnelly’s anyway, but I heard the numbers dropped off in the second half hour, lower than Studio 60’s ratings. Made me feel evil for wanting to do a happy dance :o

I watched it (mostly because I had better reception on that channel and I wasn’t yelling at CSI:Miami) and found it pretty interesting. I don’t necessarily see how it would last a season (especially up against CSI:Miami) but it was okay. And the fact that they premiered it a week earlier than they had been promoting it also means that they really haven’t been able to keep that time slot. I kept wondering why they had to resucitate the mob for the plotline. It’s interesting that Tommy is his brothers’ keeper but ends up losing himself in the process.

This is a story based on a historical event in a small town outside of my city (Paul Haggis is from my city and attended my school- he visited in September). An Irish Catholic family which had caused problems for years in the late 1800s was brutally slaughtered one January night. The only witness was a 9 year old boy who was a friend of the family. There have been several ghost stories revolving around their deaths.
