NBC is going to have a midseason replacement drama, most likely to debut after the Winter Olympics next February, titled, “The Book Of Daniel.”
The one-hour drama is about an Episcopal priest named Daniel Webster (played by Aidan Quinn) who is struggling with running his upstate New York parish while holding his family together after a tragic loss, while at the same time struggling with his own addiction to painkillers. In the middle of all this, he starts to have literal visits (not hallucinations or dreams) from Jesus Christ himself, who guides and advises him.
Sounds intriguing! I wonder if anyone else has heard of this show and if it will be one to put on the must-see schedule.
