Dear Brothers and Sisters,

How appropriate to begin this Chapter, a few days before Ash Wednesday and the beginning of Lent! Sister Lucia’s Book, “Calls from the Message of Fatima” is a good one to be reading during this 100th Anniversary Year of Our Blessed Mother’s Apparitions at Fatima. Sister begins Chapter 9 with these words:
“Offer prayers and sacrifices constantly to the most High”. This call to sacrifice which God now addresses to us is something we find in many pages of Scripture. It may seem superfluous to repeat it here; but it will not be in vain, because we are all so forgetful and lackadaisical about fulfilling this great duty…

Sister is so simple and direct, so childlike, it is a blessing to be reading her words. I will share more, God willing, after I read more of this chapter, which I began to re-read today. I’d be happy to hear from anyone else who is also blessed by Sister’s words. Thanks.
