The Catholic Church and the Mafia

I am writing a paper to refute Dave Hunt’s book “The Woman Rides the Beast”. I am currently tearing down the following quote, “The incredible wealth of this woman caught John’s attention next… Rome has practiced evil to gather her wealth… Most of Rome’s wealth has been acquired through the sale of salvation. Untold billions of dollars have been paid to her by those who thought they were purchasing heaven… There are the further abominations of corrupt banking practices, laundering of drug money, trading in counterfeit securities, and dealings with the Mafia.”

Does anyone have any articles they could refer me to that deal with Hunt’s alleged “crimes of the Catholic Church”, specifically dealing with the Vatican and the Mafia? I know his claims are false, since Hunt has proved himself over and over again to be fanciful and deceptive, but I need the hard facts to prove my case. Any help will be appreciated!
