Perhaps your director decided not to buy them? If that is the case, help raise $$ next year to buy the holy cards (I’d buy those and do an alternate low cost craft instead of buying the program crafts if I had to cut corners).

BTW, why did you volunteer at a Protestant VBS? That would just be strange, watching them try to get kids “saved”.
I don’t think she bought them. I also didn’t see any Catholic prayers in “Rocky’s Bible Play Pack.” I guess I’ll check the Gator Guide. She might water it down because we have a lot of Protestants involved and protestant children attending. Even the Methodist’s pastor’s child was there. It’s not a money thing, we have an affluent parish.

I volunteered at a Protestant VBS because I’m friends with the pastor’s wife and with the woman running the VBS program there, and our kids and husbands are friends as well. Protestants help with VBS at my church and I wasn’t the only Catholic that helped out there either. I guess it wasn’t strange, just watered down Christianity. A lot of “God loves us, and Jesus died for our sins and came back because he loves us.” Like I said the only thing that was incompatible with Catholicism was when they said at the Last Supper it wasn’t really Jesus’ body and blood. I think they have a lot of Catholic kids attending VBS there as well so we all try to be civil and accommodating.
