So, I would add that this is the contribution or the features of the Western civilization, the civilization of democracy, science, laws, governance, engineering… . but also bookkeeping. (accounting)
Societies rooted and accustomed to “habar and bakshish” ( tyurkish words which transferred to other languages as bribes, in surprisingly positive sense of the word)
The third world ( many EX-USSR countries, Africa, Middle East) is frequently very corrupted, disorganized (in the sence of bookkeeping/accounting)
And this is not a trifle , this disorganization is the core of corruption, to poverty of population due to primitive, clanish, ollegarchic despotism.
So, the art of bookkeeping is the compliment to the Western (Christian) civilization.

Here is one of many answers, why many East European countries want to be in a secular European Union

and not isolated, or in some inferior politico-social-economic unions.
(like for example - Commonwealth of Independent States

Brains, order, organization of life, the art of bookkeeping/accounting that brings gradual prosperity to the states and populations of European Union.
The loose of spirituality, the priority of gedonistic values, and decrees of Christian influence on daily life of European citizens its a serious problem, but still I personally would vote for euro - integration, with realization of very difficult task for Christians to study how to bring the light of Christ (new forms of Evangelization) in this more and more secular United Europe.
