Have you heard this Phrase before? Did you where this phrase originated? Did you know that it was a Catholic Phrase?
 
I learned that back in Catholic school, so I assumed that it was a Catholic phrase, but I had not heard of the origin of it or of that particular radio show. Thanks for the information.

I don’t know where it originated, but Pope John Paul II said this phrase when he presented the new Rosary Luminous mysteries in his writing.
 
One of the ladies I took Communion to was a neighbor of Father Peyton at one time. She used to make rosaries for him.
 
Fr. Peyton was a truly great man – an apostle and missionary for Christ. He almost single-handedly kept the rosary devotion alive during an era when many clerics thought the rosary was out of date and frowned on it. He suffered a lot during that era (the 1970s) but he never stopped. His rosary crusades in the Rose Bowl drew hundreds of thousands and he was an early pioneer of Catholic television with his Family Hour programs which were produced in Hollywood (he made some high quality films).

Fr. Peyton travelled the world, spreading devotion to the Blessed Virgin and converting many. He was a giant of the faith – sadly ignored by many in the Church in America in later years, thought to be an embarrassment of “old fashioned” spirituality – but truly, he was far ahead of his time, like a prophet of sorts, pointing to a new era when the rosary would again be loved and prayed by many (Pope John Paul II did much to revive the rosary during his pontificate).
 
LOL…I just noticed that my title for this thread reads, the Catholic phase… and not phrase…sorry all…😛 .
I’m glad that there aren’t too many, coming to this one…I’ve done this before, when I put tread, instead of thread…oops… I guess I can’t “wing-it” without my reading glasses…dang-it…😃

fr.peyton visited new zealand in either late 50s. or early 60s. and that was his catch cry. “.the family that prays together stays together.”👍
