Did your catholic elementary and high school teach you how to ?
Or maybe you were taught at mass/church?

Schools, in general, don’t teach students how to function in society. It’s not a problem exclusive to Cathoics.

This may be one of those times you need to better explain what you are asking. An example or two would help.

In grade school, I was prepared for high school. If I were to go out into the world after grade school, different preparation would have been better.

My high school intent was to prepare for college. I would probably have taken different courses had it have been that I were going “into the world” from high school.

Blessings,
Stephie

You’re going to have to give some examples here. Function ‘how’? And exactly how much ‘credit’ or "blame’ do we give schools, and how much to the student, family, peers, other organizations, workplace etc?
