The Catholic Truth on Facebook - Need your help!

I’d like to ask a favor from all of you folks on CAF. A few months ago I founded The Catholic Truth, an apostolate which helps Catholics to learn more about their Faith. We’ve been very successful with our website, blog and monthly email newsletter. I have recently created a Facebook group (facebook.com/pages/The-Catholic-Truth/86942558870) and would like to ask any of you with Facebook accounts to kindly consider becoming a member.

I currently have the live blog feed, several recommended Catholic links, the monthly newsletter, and discussion forums for prayer requests and questions. I plan to add more in the future, but it allows us to evangelize a whole new group of folks, many who may not even practice their Faith.

Your joining would help to:

1. Increase our credibility by building up the number of members.
2. Provide an easy way to evangelize your family members and friends who are on Facebook. They will see that you are a member of The Catholic Truth and may decide to check out our site.
3. Create a larger base of members to intercede for the prayer intentions posted on our site. I would also be able to easily get the word out to all members if there is an urgent prayer need. That would involve more people in our apostolate, which is good!

If you don’t have a Facebook account, it’s easy to sign up and it costs nothing. I would greatly appreciate it if you’d consider doing so.

I hope it’s not out of line to ask for help like this, but I truly believe in branching out into this new area and I can’t do it without your help. There are so many Catholics who either know very little about their Faith or have fallen away completely.

That’s a really nice site. Solid information throughout – very well done. I think Catholic educators would want to know about it – and promote it to potential converts and seekers.

Thanks for the kind words…it means a lot to hear comments like that. My main goal is to remain loyal to the teaching of the Church and help Catholics to learn the truth about the Faith. Despite being a cradle Catholic, I struggled (and continue to do so) to learn the teachings of the Church and I’m just trying to pass on some of what I’ve discovered. It has transformed my life and I’d like to share it with others!

I’d appreciate any publicity that you or anyone else could give the site. I’ve been struggling to get publicity for the last few months (it’s not my specialty). I’m excited about the potential for the Facebook site. There’s a lot of people out there that need to hear the “Good News”.
