For Mardukm and all interested.
With my graveyard work schedule going to Sunday church has become mostly a thing of the past for me (I go to vespers, evening eucharists, and other services that match my schedule). But having extra days off vacation now this year, I look a day off to go to church and I was blessed in addition to the regular service of having the editor of this book make a slide show presentation. (We also were visited by a Dominican priest, since the author had made a presentation at the local Catholic Seminary the previous day. Most of the Seminarians there including the priest had never heard of the stories of Christ in Egypt and were very enthusiastic).

There was some interesting stuff presented! I knew most of it (the legends around Christ and Egypt and some of the noteworthy church’s like El Mokkatam, and the “floating Bible church”). However what I did not know were the Coptic Churches that were formerly Catholic. Their Catholic artwork was kept intact so you have Coptic Orthodox churches that have statues of St. Bernadette and so on.
Anyway I thought a few of you might be interested in my new coffee table book!
