Hello,
I have said the Rosary at different churchs in groups. The thing I am concerned with are the different ways they are done.
I understand that there is no wrong way, I am just missing some prayers.
Can anyone post the correct prayers before and after the Rosary. I just bought a new book and the only prayer listed after the Rosary is the Hail Holy Queen and I know there are more.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks-
Joe

If I haven’t forgotten…its the Apostles Creed on the Cross, followed by the Our Father, three Hail Marys, a Glory Be, then I believe is the Our Father, the Ten Hail Marys and a Glory Be per Mystery.

From the Rosary Center. . .
Begin with sign of the Cross, then the Apostles’ Creed, one Our Father, three Hail Marys, One Glory Be.

Announce the first decade of the Mysteries (Joyful, Sorrowful, Glorious, Luminous). One Our Father, Ten Hail Marys, One Glory Be. Per Pope John Paul II it is suggested that after the Glory Be the Fatima Prayer be said (that would make it said Five Times all together in each Mystery). Fatima Prayer: Oh my Jesus, forgive us our sins. Save us from the fires of hell, and lead all souls to heaven, especially those most in need of thy mercy.

After the Rosary:

HAIL, HOLY QUEEN, Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness and our hope! To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve; to thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us, and after this our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary!
Code:
V. Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God.
R. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
Let us pray. O GOD, whose only begotten Son, by His life, death, and resurrection, has purchased for us the rewards of eternal life, grant, we beseech Thee, that meditating upon these mysteries of the Most Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we may imitate what they contain and obtain what they promise, through the same Christ Our Lord. Amen.

After praying the Apostles Creed, Our Father and Glory Be (I hope I’m remembering correctly), the 3 Hail Mary’s are for an increase in faith, an increase in hope, and an increase in charity.

The Rosary is like a pizza.

While certain elements are essential to the form of the Rosary (Creed, Our Fathers, Hail Marys, Glorias, and meditation on the Mysteries) like the crust is essential to the form of the pizza, you can add any toppings you like (Fatima prayer, Hail Holy Queen, additional prrayers inserted within or between the Hail Marys, particular prayer intentions, Different Mysteries, additional prayers at the end, etc.)

Joseph Bilodeaus said “The Rosary is like a pizza.”
This is one of the things that makes the Rosary so beautiful. There is not one prayer intention that cannot be integrated into the Rosary. I usually pick a theme or petition for a couple of days and integrate it into my daily prayer routine through the Rosary.

Here is a prayer I wrote which I pray just before the Creed. It is where I insert the special intention or theme for the decades to follow.
Dear Blessed Mother I am moved today by the The Holy Spirit whom I have asked to fill my heart with love. I offer my prayers today for the glory of God the Father through our Saviour Christ Jesus. I pray for your intercession on behalf of all souls on earth especially for ………. , and for all departed souls longing for the presence of Jesus, especially for ……,. Please, Blessed Mother, intercede for me by bringing my prayers to your son, my Lord, Jesus and ask Him to bestow His graces upon those souls in need or desiring His mercy. I pray if but one soul needs just one more prayer then please let this be that prayer. Amen
