Before Jesus dies, he says “it is finished”. Does this mean “I’ve won the war. Redemption is on the way. Ha ha Satan, you suck”.

The Old Covenant has now been fulfilled and we are now a resurrected people. He did win victory over death and this is expressed most fully in the resurrection. That is why the temple curtain tore in two. Jesus made all things new… teachccd

I think Scott Hahn ties this into Fourth Cup. There appear to be only three of the four required cups drunk at the Last Supper.

Jesus says He will drink wine next in His Kingdom.

25 Truly, I say to you, I shall not drink again of the fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new in the kingdom of God."

Mark 14:25

On the Cross He commits Mary to John as agent for all of us.

Jphn 19:26-30 This incorporates is all in the Passover and His sacrifice; so He drinks the Fourth cup and completes the meal.

I think the fourth cup in the Seder Meal is referred to as the Cup of Consummation. In the Douay translation Jesus says “It is Consummated”, which makes this connection clearer.
