You know, there was a period of time where my daughter just got wayy out of hand…it comes and goes in waves…and I noticed myself doing the same thing…its so easy, especially if you work (or like in your case you have 6 other kids) to let the stress get to you and just yell out in frustration…i mean, cm’on right…some of this c**p your dealin’ with is frekkn common sense right?? Dont color all over the walls…Dont put the cat in the toilet and weigh the lid down…Dont put your finger in that socket…
But, the best advice I can give you…is just stop- right in the middle of your fit of insanity…just stop- take a deep…long…breathe…(I garantee your child will stand there, quiet and motionless…lol…probably terrified) maybe you’ll need another loooooong…deeep breathe…step outside of yourself, and see how ‘ugly’ you look. Remember, to yourself, they’re kids…and maybe they dont know these things…explain it to em’…try to keep your calm…
If its something you’ve talked to them about before and its a disciplinary issue your having I cant really suggest a book or anything…I’m just a mom…with a kid…who has friends with kids…and we all start with the ‘look’…that escalates into ‘get your butt in the room’…and if that doesnt work we spank em…we do…I know…this day and age its like, taboo or something, but I’ll tell you something about spanking…
if you dont spank that often, but when you DO make it COUNT, you wont even HAVE to spank em cause when they see that ‘look’ they’ll straighten up real quick…
