Saint Augustine did insist that the list given by these councils be sent to Rome for approval. Pope Saint Siricius (384-399 A.D.) approved the canon

Does anyone know of any proof that St Augustine did in fact send the list to the pope or Pope Saint Siricius did approve the canon?

I’m not sure if there is any evidence that Augustine sent off a list to a Pope, but in 382 Pope Damasas, at a synod in Rome, approved a Canon that is identical to our modern Catholic Canon. The same Canon was also approved in Hippo (393) and Carthage (393, 397, 419).
