How was the Bible put together? How long did it take? How did the Church know which books were not divinely inspired, and which were?

1 The Bible is a Catholic birthes book:

2.It was the Early Catholic Fathers, who through much prayer and debate selected the 46 books to be included in the OT

It was the first Catholics [3 of them Apostles] who authored, inspired by the Holy Spirit, the entire New Testaments 27 books.

Exergents {Bible experts} think the Bible was fully authored by the End of the 1st Century {about 70 years after Christ Death and Resurrection}. ALTHOUGH the bible was not actually assembled into book form until after 325 AD and Constantine’s Edict of Milan which granted freedom of religious practice to ALL religions.

By “Inspired” does not mean dictated. No, it means only that the Holy Spirit {GOD} inspired the OT assemblers on which books ought to be included; and the NT authors which Lessons ought to be recounted in their Own Words. Only what God, and only what God desired is in His Bible; and nothing is left out of the bible that God desired be included in it. John 20: 30-31; John 21: 24-25.

2 Tim. 3: [16] All scripture, inspired of God, is profitable to teach, to reprove, to correct, to instruct in justice, [17] That the man of God may be perfect, furnished to every good work.

Douay Catholic Bible explanation [16] “All scripture,”: Every part of divine scripture is certainly profitable for all these ends. But, if we would have the whole rule of Christian faith and practice, we must not be content with those Scriptures, which Timothy knew from his infancy, that is, with the Old Testament alone: nor yet with the New Testament, without taking along with it the traditions of the apostles, and the interpretation of the church, to which the apostles delivered both the book, and the true meaning of it

Hope this is of help to you,

Partick
