Philosopher and agnostic Stefan Molyneux discusses the efforts and dangers of removing God from society leading to an intellectually incoherent authoritarian secularism.

How do different religious people view the ‘Left Progressive’ efforts in the west to remove God through relativism and the creation of the new religion of political correctness as a replacement?

It is like the pied piper, they do not see it.

Some of us are more alarmed by the rise of Right Reactionary random cliché generators.

The leaders in this secular movement have done a good job defining an important issue that the different segments are passionate about and have blended the different “important issues” so as to lead their pied piper followers as if all agree on all of their issues. They have done a good job in teaching their followers to be apologists regardless of whether they truly believe in all of them or not.

There does seem to be quite a few people jumping off the Left Progressive ship leaving a distinct lack of independent thought that to my mind becomes more bullying as it is opposed and exposed.

I see what you mean regarding the pied piper comment. I think a lot of people who gravitate to this manufactured morality simply want to achieve a standard universal moral system that they see in academia and the media infiltrated and run by old style discredited Leftists.

With both of those institutions despised now by a large section of the population there seems to be a crisis of confidence on that side of the fence with people following these morals (pied piper style) but at the same time realising their ethics are not only not shared by a huge section of the population but are in fact causing a polarised division.

The divisions are quite real. It has always been easier to either join in or ignore and become indifferent to the strange ideas of the Left, which consist of a group of manufactured problems, which even if “solved” in some cases, does not stop the creation of new problems/issues that - mainly through the media - we are led to focus our thinking on. Unless we realize how absurd or fake some of these problems are.

Part of it has to to do with an obsessive desire for change of some kind, especially regarding interpersonal relationships to promoting deviant sexual practices. Discussions are fine but in too many cases, are ignored unless they raise an alarm due to people saying: “Look. Enough is enough. Please. Leave us alone.” So when more subtle means fail or are believed by only a few, a dictatorship begins to use some type of dictatorial means to get the masses to support them. To any person who looks at the invented problems closely, it is obvious that anything anyone says that is against those ideas automatically labels them as extremists by the State within a State.

Pope Benedict XVI:

"The Holy Father says:
Code:
"If we cannot have common values, common truths, sufficient communication on the essentials of human life–how to live how to respond to the great challenges of human life–then true society becomes impossible."
Commentary by the Practical Catholic:

"How true this is. Where there is no communication, no culture, no shared experience, there is no society; because there is no people. There remains only a vast and foreboding, unforgiving sea of individuals ready to crash upon each other and the world with the slightest wind. Without a common basis, we have not the vaulted pluralism we’re taught to embrace, but Babel, in all the confusion and madness of a society with no binding forces. Already we are seeing the tensions of this fragmentation breaking out across cultures.

“Without common values and truths, such as in the socieites we find ourselves in, we find the fabric of society torn like Joseph’s cloak, by a great many tribes which would like to lay claim to the title of favored. Leftists, conservatives, anarchists, nihilists, secularists, objectivists, the shallow, the entertainers, the entertained, all vying for control against each other. Tribalism can indeed spawn differentiation, but without some common ground, and in the face of increasing jargon not only in the academies but in the cultures; we shall be left with madness. In the end this tribalism can only result in the decline of all their claims, and the alienation of one from the other. Babel is the happenstance when society tries to become God.”

This type of radical individualism means fewer and fewer people can relate to each other. That means society separates into different fragments that are incapable of interaction, so you have people living outside what the mainstream media tells us is important. And in too many cases, it still continues to push wrong thinking and wrong behaviors as goods. Complaints are brushed aside

Stay the course, my friends. Know right from wrong even though others have their own version of what they’ve decided is right for them. Do not be passive either. Alert others to the flaws and dangers of what others want that sometimes defies logic and reality. We can choose to not participate in their version of reality.
