Why did the Jews in Jamnia leave out these books? Was it because they only had Greek translations? Wasn’t the translation of the septuagint a translation into Greek of the Hebrew books? Why would they be in there if they weren’t translated from hebrew in the first place? Or were there other reasons?

As I stated in other threads, it is questionable if the “council” of Jamnia really created the canon used by the Palestinian/European Jews of today:

It is still unknown when and how the Palestinian canon was defined.
