Maybe it’s just stupid, maybe I’m paranoid, but since this experience left a little shaken.

I was playing this online game called “Warframe”, and I was on a grinding mission (basically, I was collecting rare sources dropped by a specific enemy to craft an item).

You must remember that, while reading through this, that the enemy “spawning” was not fixed, but randomized: anything could be spawned based on a percentage.

I was heading towards the last group of enemies - and, unconsciously, without really meaning it:《Man, if I find that enemy that drops me that rare resource, I’ll sell my soul to the devil!》The point was, I had only met two or three during the course of the mission, so it was a way for me to underline just how rare they were.

And guess what I find when I catch up to that last group…?
Exactly, THAT one enemy unit.
I freak out and switch everything off.
Since they’re randomized, I started to grow afraid that Satan had somehow meddled with my mind and the game, then I went into full blown paranoia thinking that Satan wanted to trick me into reverse-psychologically fearing an innocuous game…basically, I haven’t touched the game since (a couple weeks ago) and, despite nothing weird or bad happening, I’m still scared.
Was that coincidence (I should tell you that I had met the last of those special enemies quite some time prior, so there WAS a major chance of it spawning…) or are the demonic forces up to some wicked scheme to take my soul?

Pretty sure your soul is safe, but probably better not to tempt Satan, maybe focus more on praying and God than video games. Trust me I know the addiction I dropped over 12 grand on that stupid game of war game, until I realized how much it was taking over my life. So I quit, focused on God, my prayer life has exploded, and I am in a much better place.

You’re actually fortunate this happened; hopefully you take to heart just how bad it is to dabble or joke about cooperating with the diabolical.

You need not fear for “selling” your soul; it’s impossible for you to do so. What I would fear is that demons are actively trying to attack you because they sense vulnerability or openness.

Pray more, and don’t speak or think about the diabolical lightly or without good reason. If you’d like to do something more, I highly recommend praying the Auxilium Christianorum daily prayers (about 5 mins) to combat demons which may be trying to attack you.

Coincidence, possibly. Though God just may be trying to show/tell you something, 'cause ya know that Satan and demons cannot read your thoughts.

Coincidence, possibly. Possibly providence from a loving God though wanting to get through to his son (you), and give you pause enough to shut the games down a while. 😉
I personally think you’ve been blessed.

Praise God that he loves you so much.

Devil or not. You are way to possessed by this game.

I read the link toauxilium christianorum prayers and I was wondering do I have to consult my confessor before starting to pray them? Do you have to be in a state of grace?

The only armour which can protect us from satan is the rosary! This prayer is the scourge of the devil. He hates it as it brings us closer to God. Powerful…powerful prayer.

If you want to consult your confessor, absolutely do so, but it is not required.

I would say that anyone who is not in a state of grace should be primarily concerned with returning to the state of grace; you can say these prayers, but I don’t see them being particularly efficacious if one is cut off from God. They need to get to confession ASAP!
