The enemies of Jesus

I remember reading once that there is a document from the first century written by an enemy of Christ who claimed that the miracles of Jesus were performed through the power of Satan.

It was suggested that this document was actually powerful evidence in support of Jesus’ divinity in that it shows his enemies were forced to acknowledge his miracles because his works were so well known.

Does anyone know if there are any resources that focus on this kind of material? It would be a collection of documents written by Jesus’ enemies of the 1st century in which they unwittingly provide evidence for his claim to be God.

How about the Scriptures?:

Matthew 12:22-29: 22 Then a blind and dumb demoniac was brought to him, and he healed him, so that the dumb man spoke and saw. 23 And all the people were amazed, and said, “Can this be the Son of David?” 24 But when the Pharisees heard it they said, “It is only by Be-el’zebul, the prince of demons, that this man casts out demons.” 25 Knowing their thoughts, he said to them, "Every kingdom divided against itself is laid waste, and no city or house divided against itself will stand; 26 and if Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself; how then will his kingdom stand? 27 And if I cast out demons by Be-el’zebul, by whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore they shall be your judges. 28 But if it is by the Spirit of God that I cast out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you. 29 Or how can one enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man? Then indeed he may plunder his house.

Yes, thanks for the response. However, I’m looking for non-biblical documents. Specifically from those that were against Jesus.

In particular, I have a friend who denies the divinity of Jesus. Referring him to Scripture does no good as he sees Scripture as nothing more than a propoganda work from those who had an interest in convincing the rest of us Jesus was God…you know the drill.

I am intrigued by the idea of showing him non biblical documents that refer to Jesus, his works, etc. If they are documents from those who oppossed Jesus all the better as he cannot dismiss those as the fiction of Jesus’ supporters.

I don’t know if anyone has ever compiled such documents in a book or written an article about them. I am wondering if anyone else has ever heard of such a book or article.
