As a Cradle Catholic I was brought up loving the church and my faith. At the time when the church was under attack amid the sexual abuse by Priests I left the church and attended a Protestant church. But the one thing I missed was the Holy Eucharist. Protestant services could not replace what I got from the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. Then God led me to the scripture where Christ says if you do not eat my body and drink my blood you have no life within you. Then and there I knew I must return to the church. I realized that the church is not perfect but I need to be apart of it. We must pray for our Pope and all the clergy. Now that I am back with the one true church I am at peace and feel God’s presence at mass and especially holy communion. I pray that the whole body of Christ will come to realize this basic truth and our need for the holy eucharist as our true spiritual bread.

I think many if not most Catholics will agree with you.

This argument doesn’t fly well with the non-Catholics though. Orthodox have valid Eucharist, some other Protestant groups think they have it too, and still others don’t think Eucharist is important, sadly.
