The Eucharist

Might my words be an understanding to all who read,
The Eucharist is the one thing that we as Christians will gather round. As the world closes in around us and draws Christians out of it, we need as solution. Jesus in His infinite wisdom left us the one thing we can use as a weapon to combat the present day evil that confronts us daily.
So how we as present day Christians deal with the evil of the secular world that confronts us on a daily bases? I know what Christ would say.Jesus said in the gospels that he would be with us till the end of time. How did Jesus chose to do this? Easy! The Eucharist! His Body and Blood!
We as Christians must take this weapon and battle the force of secular atheism and those who wish to see the Christian way fall to the way side. With the Eucharist none can stand! For it is Jesus His self,so whom can stand?
Each and every day I go in front of Christ and pray that we may overcome a common foe.I would only ask that all Christians start to realize what a powerful weapon we have.

I can’t find anything to disagree with, except that in addition, of course, he also commanded to make disciples of all nations, and Baptize. So add to the Eucharist the word and Baptism as “weapons” against the evil one.

Thanks for the reply…while I might agree that all should be confirmed in the grace of God thru baptism,(ONLY as Jesus says in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit),what I am talking about is the true presence of our Lord Jesus Christ. A Much,Much, more powerful weapon with which we can save everyone on the face of the earth! Read the gospel and you to can know the truth. I’m not trying to"preach" to you. For I have only started to know the Power that comes from Our Lord…I can only be a voice crying out in the wilderness! Have you ever started to read the post from the human secularist who post here?
I feel,each time that i kneel in front of Jesus, He is calling me(and you( to talk with these people. Honestly I read all the post in this forum and I wonder why so many who Love Jesus rassel w/ each other and ignore the true threat. I have read many of your post and I love you as a brother! Nothing you say disheartens me. I know that you know the Lord as I do(Praise Jesus!) Don’t you feel we would spend our time enlightening those who are not in “touch” w/ Our Lord Jesus, then auguring about the finer points?
What I am speaking about in this thread is a weapon that can concur all, make all men come before Our Lord and Kneel in Adoration as is rightfully due Him.
Think about it…if Jesus was standing in front of you would you not fall upon you face?I have had many experiences that I could not relate in words, nor would I attempt to try. I will only tell all who read this …Jesus is there for anyone who wants to come…“will you not even watch with me one hour?”

So far as I can tell from what’s been posted here my Methodist and Lutheran brothers in Christ Jesus understand what it is I am talking about. The Roman Catholic Church in the Sacrament of the Eucharist, Has the One True Living God Present for those who which to worship Him! Amen to that! Jesus on this the feast of Christ the King(11-22-09) is here with us! Glory to God in the Highest!!! If all Christians will accept this fact like my two brothers in Christ have then we will have a united front to display to the world!!! Praise be to Him in the Highest!!! Thru the Eucharist all Christians have the One true Living God here amongst them, to due battle with the foe who seeks to bring about the end of mankind, Do not doubt only pick up the gospel and believe!!! Read John chapter 6 verses 53 thru 56 and all mankind will fall down and due The Lord Adoration!!! Praise the Lord Jesus that Methodist and Lutheran alike see the Living Presence for what it is…AMEN

The Eucharist… What is is?
I have asked myself this so many times. Is It real?
Is it really Our Lord Jesus?(read john chapter 6 vs 53 thru 56) and yet when I am there before the Christ…who am I? why do we believe? Should I pay homage to a “wafer”? Jesus, it is You who talks with me. It is you whom let’s me know I do you no wrong…Jesus…My Lord and God…
I as a person come before Jesus…( whatever that means to you as a Christian),
I as a person come before God…I am trying to speak w those who do believe…
Eucharistic Adoration is a weapon that we as Christians have before us! A weapon more powerful then any spear or bomb, or anything we as people can imagine!!!
Jesus…Jesus here in front of us.Praise God in the Highest!! We as humans can come before our God…Who else but God could have that for us? God in the second Person Here with us!!!

Lets us not forget how we Worship God in Spirit and Truth always at Mass in the wedding feast of the lamb which includes all those on earth, in heaven with angels in the communion of saints.

to say Jesus is only in that substance, is to limit Christ Himself.
I hope Christians can be driven away from hollow-philosophies. I hope we can all be joined by the TRUTH of God through the Holy Spirit which we can only get from Jesus.
THATS what will strengthen us and join us in true Christianity.
to say we get Jesus from the Eucharist is to put salvation in our hands…to turn it into a DEED… but this is not true! GOD is greater.
Romans 5:1 “Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand.”
My bretheren, who have such zeal for God… how can we depend on Scripture AND Tradition? when they clearly don’t match up… Pray for Truth… step outside the box…

this is from my heart. i don’t say these things to shoot anyone down…but to lift them up in God’s truth which the Holy Spirit has convicted me of in my heart.

Catholics believe the same as you do, a wafer and wine by themselves are nothing. But when Jesus the Word of God made flesh, speaks his word that the bread is his body and the wine is his blood, Catholics believe in the biblical Words of Jesus Christ. Who has conquered the devil.

Picture Jesus in front of you, and he hands you a piece of bread (bread wafer used today) and told you “take and eat this all of you for this is my body”, likewise Jesus hands you a cup filled with wine and commanded you to “drink this is my blood in the new and everlasting covenant”. But before Jesus handed you the bread and cup, he taught you that you “must eat my flesh and drink my blood in order to have eternal life”, and Jesus taught you “for my flesh is food indeed, and my blood is drink indeed”. All I have quoted you comes from the bible, would you believe Jesus words?

That is what the OP is addressing which comes directly from the bible see John 6:46-58, Luke 22:14-20. But Jesus does not stop here, he commands us to “do this in rememberance of me”.

You cant get any more zealous than the apostles and Catholic Saints and Martyrs who followed them in a martyr’s death for their Catholic faith in the Eucharist, which is the body, blood soul and divinity of Jesus Christ Truly presence before God’s people since the resurrection of Jesus. I dont think your gonna meet any Christians more zealous than the already Apostles and Catholic Martyrs who sang and gave testimony in their deaths for their faith in the true presence of Jesus Christ in his Eucharist. Catholics believe God’s Word because God spoke it and we believe it, not mans word who deny’s God’s Word.
