Hi everyone, I’m new to this message board… I posted a week or so ago (“permission to post to this board”) to see if you and the moderators/administrators would mind my posting (they didn’t mind!)…
So, what I was hoping to do was let you know about a survey I’m doing for my dissertation. I am studying self-forgiveness and the experience of feeling forgiven by God, and I’m trying to learn about how people feel about these topics.
Feel free to visit my website to check out the study/survey. Please let me know if you have any questions – and maybe we can even get some discussion going about it! You can also forward my survey link (or web address) to anyone who might be interested in it. Oh, and I’m trying to reach people over age 55, but even if you aren’t 55 yet, feel free to participate.
Would anyone like to share their thoughts??? Thank you!!!
If you are 55 years old or older, we would like to invite you to participate in a research study. The aim of the study is to help us to better understand situations in which people feel they hurt or offended someone. Please do not participate if you cannot think of a time where you hurt or offended someone.
In this study, you also will be asked some questions about yourself and your religious/spiritual beliefs. You may participate in the study even if you do not regard yourself as a highly religious or spiritual person. However, we ask that you not participate if you definitely believe that God does not exist.
The survey should take approximately 45 –60 minutes to complete.
If you choose to participate in the study, we will not ask for your name or your e-mail address. Your privacy will be completely protected.
Dr. Julie Exline, a faculty member in the Psychology Department at Case Western Reserve University, and her graduate student, Alyce Martin, M.A., will be running the study. You can contact Alyce with questions, comments, or concerns about the study at alyce.cafaro@case.edu or (216) 368-1475 extension 3. You may also contact Dr. Exline directly at julie.exline@case.edu or (216) 368-8573.
The study can be accessed from Alyce Martin’s web page, which is located at the following address: filer.case.edu/~amc27/forgive.htm
You are welcomed to visit the web page to learn more about the study; visiting the page does not enroll you in the study and your IP address will not be collected.
Thank you very much for your consideration!
