I am fourteen years old and I go to a Catholic high school, I’m a freshman. A few days ago, I wanted to talk to my friends about morals and we started with birth-control. To my shock, every girl I spoke with, said it was fine and that she was going to use it. To add to this, a fellow classmate carries a condom in his wallet.
A lot of my friends are in drama, and they know a lot of gay people. They say that it’s fine, and if it’s true love, it should be left alone.
I’ve been wondering if I am the only devoute Catholic in the school. The only people that agree with me, are maybe the religion teachers, and the upper classmen, those who actually paid attention in religion.
We live in a time where abortions are commonplace and you can buy condoms in the drugstore for three dollars, what kind of world are we growing up in? How is our faith holding in all of this?
