I just came across an icon of the Trinity on TV yesterday and I noticed that Jesus had a circular halo, and so did the holy spirit, but the father had a triangular halo. What does this mean? I’m a bit confused.:confused: any help is much appreciated. 🙂

Can you replicate the icon here?
 
I always thought it was a representation of the Trinity, and that it was traditionally shown above God the Father as the first person of the Trinity.

That was kinda my understanding too.

It may not have been a nimbus but just a representation of the Trinity.
 
this is the exact icon i saw on TV. i guess the trinity over the father makes sense.

This icon is properly the Coronation of the Virgin.
