Jesus manifested His power at the wedding at Cana, when HE changed the water into wine.
The event is recorded twice in John’s Gospel. perhaps this fact is important.
At the Last Supper HE changed the wine into HIS blood. This event is recorded in the 4 Gospels.
When so many “Christians” don’t believe that Jesus is actually present at the Eucharist. What would you need to believe in the real presence?
What GOD commands IS.

What you need is an open mind when reading John 6. Sadly, too many people have been told X, Y, and/or Z, and I suspect many of them subliminally fear that their entire religious construct will come apart should they consider the matter.

It is easy to say, standing on this side of that divide, that a) it isn’t all that hard and b) you will know the truth and it shall set you free. Part of that issue is you have not stood in their shoes; you have not seen what they have seen and heard. Families torn apart; long held friendships blowing up, and they consciously believe what they have been told - sometimes from the cradle.

Listen to EWTN and listen to the stories of people who have converted; it is often a very serious struggle. Consider Scott Hahn; Kimberly was far slower to convert, and I can’t imagine the trouble and dark times their marriage went through before she did.

It is not like a walk in the park.

If you would like an amazing breakdown of this Chapter Dr. Hahn is the man…

The Wedding at Cana is in Lesson 2.

One of my favorite parts of the talk is when he discusses verse 4 when Jesus says My hour has not yet come. We know the end of the story so we just say oh yeah Jesus is talking about the hour of His death. However, he says imagine hearing those words, from the perspective of the disciples, who didn’t know the end. Jesus says it then He does the miracle to make the best wine. After their amazement they would be scratching their heads thinking His hour has not yet come to provide the wine??? What’s He talking about. I think they would have stopped scratching their heads at the last supper when Jesus took the cup and said THIS IS my blood of the covenant. Wow, even at the beginning of his ministry Jesus is already letting us know, when his hour comes he will provide for us the sacrifice in the form of wine.

Dr. Hahn can get pretty deep in Scripture, he even ties John 2 to some Old Testament writings, highly recommend his talk.

God Bless
