At the end of time, my understanding is that at the general judgement all of our actions will be revealed to all. Does this include any sins forgiven through the sacrament of reconciliation?

I was taught, and have yet to find an authoritative Church source on the subject, that all sins absolved will be wiped away save reparation (meaning purgatory still applies) and NOT revealed at the the Final Judgement.

I’d love to find a confirmation of this somewhere.

That is, as I understand it, why absolution is a better method than ‘praying for forgiveness’.

🤷 I guess we’ll find out. Good incentive to not do anything you don’t want everyone to know about!
