I happened upon the ongoing chat about the Rapture slated to happen May 21, and although I am 100% doubtful of the Rapture occurring tomorrow, I also hear a lot of sarchasm in the chats that remind me of the story of Noah and his proclamation of the coming of the flood, and the people around him who made fun and taunted him and his family. I believe that we are living in the End Times, of an outpouring of supernatural grace and impending tribulation, and I would encourage people to be prayful about this particular proclamation, and continue to look above for signs that God sends to us to watch Him and listen, as Scripture implores us. Tomorrow might come and go peacefully, and it doesn’t hurt to be properly prepared for any emergency. Just pondering if my family is prepped for a natural or supernatural occurrence keeps my smart mouth shut and mind on things that are important!! I do laugh, however, at the idea of the Rapture happening before the Tribulation and the idea of being spared from the troubles ahead! Us Catholics believe that we ALL have to suffer together, and no one should get out of a good cleansing tribulation!!! Good luck tomorrow, everyone!!! Mom of 11 and I still have loads of laundry to do before tomorrow!

The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man who lives fully is prepared to die at any time. ~Mark Twain.

I hope it’s not true, but you are right, we need to be ready for the end, at any given time.

I felt so bad for those who are affected by this foolishness of Mr. Camping. I listen to him because I really wanted to know what this guy is all about and it is very easy to read his mind regarding this “doomsday”. First of all, the good thing about this is because he reminded us about the “rupture” and the second coming which many are not interested anymore. However, looking at the whole thing, Mr. Camping as he answer the questions in his radio show, that the objective of his radio show is all about business. He does not even consider himself to be a Christian. The whole purpose of Family Radio is to read the Scriptures and explain what they are all about.

The worst thing about this is that, it seems he is being used by the devil to praise God (we all know that the devil knows God is the most high) but also using him to deceive his listeners about the credibility of the Bible that it says what is going to happen and therefore by way of his own understanding the dates he is proclaiming comes from the Bible and therefore will happen just the way he sees it. Now we know that what he is proclaiming can not be done by anyone except God. Therefore, this is not going to happen and his listeners will cast doubt on the credibility of the Bible.

This morning, sensing that he got many listeners, he took the opportunity to criticize all those who belongs to Churches. That the only way to be saved is to listen to him. I think it is a very simple gimmick of someone who is blinded by his intention to get more sponsors so that there will be more donations to his radio stations. This is a tactic which is purely business in nature and he should be condemned for this because he deceived so many whose lives maybe ruined by believing him.

That’s according to Harold Camping, the founder of the Family Radio broadcasting network. I happened to hear this prediction while driving to work this morning.

Needless to say, I think it’s baloney. Just thought I’d share it.

[18] Pride goes before destruction,
and a haughty spirit before a fall.
[19] It is better to be of a lowly spirit with the poor
than to divide the spoil with the proud.
[20] He who gives heed to the word will prosper,
and happy is he who trusts in the LORD. (Proverbs 16:18-20)

I think that, sadly, Mr. Camping’s pride has gotten the better of him. In reality, his guess is as good as anyone’s - but no better.

[36] "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.
[37] As were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of man.
[38] For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark,
[39] and they did not know until the flood came and swept them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of man. (Mt 24:36-39 Emphasis added.)

As Proverbs instructs, we should be of lowly spirit, heed His word, and trust in the Lord.

Peace,
Robert

As I’m guessing we all know, it didn’t happen but I did the cleaning an grocery shopping regardless so I’ve not got behind!😃

If it did happen… that narrow gate is even narrower than I had imagine it would be…
