ut what name would the first Protestant pope choose?
I know you are tongue in cheek, but usually when Catholics try to lump “protestants” together as a united body, we get some nasty responses. :o

Wow… this thread is pretty offensive and uncharitable.
I admit that some of the posts have been a little, um, weird. But I agree with Ralphinal: I’ve seen a lot of worse threads on the internet, anti-Protestant and anti-Catholic alike.

Yes, in the short time I’ve been here I’ve gathered as much. But I’ve also observed Catholics who are very knowledgeable about their faith conducting themselves graciously and courteously even in the face of harsh criticism. That’s not easy. I’m quite impressed.

Admiringly,
Mick

A protestant minister cousin of mine “charitably” gave my parents one of Ankenberg’s “encyclicals.” 😃 My cousin must have thought my parents could use some consolation since I’ve crossed the Tiber.
Just curious, is John Ankerberg still around and doing his TV show? I haven’t seen him in many years and in fact I was Catholic when I last watched him.
