The answer is always divisible by 9, so all those numbers have the same symbol. If you do the calculation right they show you the correct symbol you are thinkng of. Then each time you try again they change the symbol on all the divisible-by-9 numbers, so it appears the crystal ball is tracking with your changing symbol thought.
 
Yep, it’s simple math of the 9’s. Nothing “magic” about it. My kids played with this, and it was my 11 year old who actually figured out the 9’s part a few months back.

Well, this is actually more akin to slight-of-hand than it is to black magic.

But no one should go get a real crystal ball because of it. 🙂

Umm, this isn’t a crystal ball, it’s math. Numbers. Logic and all that. Nothing more.
 
Spoken…the crystal ball is not a real crystal ball. But, you shouldn’t look at it, its OK.

I did it twice and got the “9” idea. It works every time , how I dont know.

Try this. Take any 2 digit number. Add those digits. Subtract those digits from the original. The result is a multiple of 9. Works every time.

Example: Let’s take 56. Add 5 + 6 = 11. Take 56 - 11 = 45. The number 45 is a multiple of 9.

Another example: 32. 3+2=5. 32 - 5 = 27. (3x9=27)
Yet another: 10. 1+0=1. 10 - 1 = 9. (1x9=9)
And another. 78. 7+8=15. 78-15=63. (9x7=63)

Get the idea?

Now, if you do this while at the website, you will notice that EVERY multiple of 9 has the exact same symbol. That is the symbol that will appear in the “crystal”. Every time.

I prefer this online “ESP” test. I’ve seen some otherwise intelligent folks utterly amazed by it.

(Yes, there is a simple explanation to the trick - but I’ll let folks try to figure it out first 😉

Whoah, that means your addition and subtraction is terrible. 😃

Worked every time for me, has to be 2 digit numbers. Yeah it makes all the numbers divisible by 9 have the same symbol. Therefore its gonna pick that symbol and be correct every time.

The ESP one was easier to figure out, I discovered they always removed all the cards, they trick you into thinking some of the original cards remain. But nope, all the cards are removed. Clever. So that one is always right as well. And not satanic. :mad: :eek:
