My initial response is scepticism, but Mark 9:38-41 perhaps tells us we shouldn’t be too hard on others doing work in Christ’s name?

What’s your response?
 
I am assuming you mean Todd Bentley?

Lots of people do things in the name of God, it does not mean they are from God.

If that man EVER kicked me in the face with a steeltoed biker boot he would back off singing falsetto!

Why is he so violent? He boasted that God told him he would not outpour his spirit until he kicked an old lady in the face with his biker boot, (his own words) he used a crippled womans legs like a baseball bat and pounded them on the podium floor, and God told him to rush a little Asian guy. He knocked him so hard the man lost his tooth! :eek: I know he is a wrestling fan, (so am I) but come on!

IMO something stinks!

I have watched several of his videos too, in some he reminds me of a bad psychic doing a cold reading.
 
I’ve been on a number of boards where there’s been TONS of discussion on Todd Bentley and the Florida Outpouring. The consensus is that it is extremely dangerous spiritually, and may possibly be demonic rather than of the Holy Spirit. The manifestations there frequently do not have the dignity that accompanies true manifestations of the Holy Spirit.
