Does anyone grow pony tail palm trees? Its spring in Aus and I am building my first garden.

I have one pony tail palm that needs repotting and am germinating (or trying to) some seeds.

Two questions, what potting mix do you use for pony tail palms

and if you have germinated the seeds, how did you do it?
 
That’s a cute plant,I had to Google it as I didn’t know what it looked like 🙂

Thanks Lee. I have seen that site. I was hoping for some personal experiences. Especially about seed germination. One site says one thing, another differently.
Greenfield they are a cute plant and very easy if not watered too much.
What have you got going this spring? All the roses around are out in bloom.
 
My roses are late,just bush roses so far because of frosts.Lots of aphids this year.
Right now there are some Flanders poppies,blue Echium (very tough,no need to water much) Granniesbonnets and geraniums are just beginning to flower.Italian lavender is very tough also.
The pink hawthorns are still flowering 🙂

My weed is the field bindweed which keeps me out of mischief trying to keep up to pulling it out.
