Hello.

In this thread, We’ll discuss the recent book written by Daniel Black that caused a lot of controversy, the Giotto Cipher.

To do a recap:
The whole plot begins in a remote location in France, when the Curator of the Modern Art Museum (located within the confines of a town that only the people in that region knows exists) , Jack Segnieur, was murdered within the building in the exact pose of Rodin’s The Thinker.

Enter Bob Shortduke, Professor in Cambridge with a masters’ degree in Symbologolism (the study of expressing words in symbols, such as the icon 🙂 for the word ‘smile’) and Segnieur’s granddaughter, Sophia Fontainebleu, who then investigates clues that leads them to discovering a secret being hidden for 2000+ years, while avoiding the clutches of the Middle Eastern priest named Barnabas (and the organization which he belongs, The Society of Jimmy).
Out of Play: This thread is a parody of the DVC, so the ‘Giotto Cipher’ does not actually exist. If you have any ideas to add, just post.

The Facts in the book are:

The ‘Holy Grill’ is not actually a literal grill, but a name of a restaurant Jesus’ neighbors’ brothers’ fathers’ mothers’ husbands’ cousin, whose name was Yehoshua of Gilead owned.

The United Association of Restaurants Corp. Ltd., a world wide Union of Restaurants that existed since the early days of Christianity, tries to cover up the existence of this restaurant, passing the lie that the Holy Grill is an object instead of an eatery. They are aware of the truth, but chooses to live a lie so they can be the Most successful Food-related organization that exists.

The Emperor Constantine was a regular costumer at this eatery. After the Council of Nicea, He ordered that any Bishops who attended the Council can eat at the eatery with a 30% discount.

The Priory of Kidron Valley is an Organization that was founded to protect the Grill. Their notable members was Nestorius (was expulsed from the Organization for attacking the Grill) , Arius (had his membership revoked some time before he founded Arianism), Attila the Hun, Giotto (who included clues to the Eatery in his paintings), Albrecht Durer, Rene Descartes.

The Last Supper and the Pentecost happened on the ‘Upper Room’ of the Jerusalem branch of the Restaurant.

Giotto hid clues on his works about the Existence of the Holy Grill.

Mary Magdalene was once co-cashier and one of the top employees of the month.

The founder, Yehoshua of Gilead, had a wife named Miriam of the village of Migdol-ben-Athritis-Bar-Ethron-shor-Ethernia, close by 1 kilometer to Magdala were successful entrepeneurs who traveled the world. The Holy Grill Restaurant were just one of their ventures. They eventually went to India, and then to Japan, where they lived the rest of their days and died.
After time passed, though, Yehoshua of Gilead, and Miriam of the village of Migdol-ben-Arthritis-Bar-Ethron-shor-Ethernia close by 1 kilometer to Magdala were eventually confused with Yeshua of Nazareth, the Son of God and Miriam of Magdala, thus starting the confusion.

The Society of Jimmy (not to be confused from THE Society of Jesus by Saint Ignatius Loyola) hunts down the Priory of Kidron Valley to hide the secret of the Holy Grill.

Yehoshua of Gilead, and Miriam of the village of Migdol-ben-Arthritis-Bar-Ethron-shor-Ethernia close by 1 kilometer to Magdala’s child, named Anne, then went to France where she lived as a Textile maker. Her descendants were the Melon-vingian Dynasty of Kings.
