Hard to tell, as for many of the early saints the year of birth, death or both, are unknown.

But certainly there were elderly saints. Saint John is believed to have died around AD100, which would make him approximately 85 years old.

But, anyway, St. Alphonsus Liguori lived to be 90. Quite remarkable in the 18th Century.

Anyway, yes there have been saints who lived to an old age. St. Ignatius of Antioch was an old man when he was martyred, in his 70s.

Remember, though, that nutrition and medicine have greatly increased our life expectancy in the modern age.

St. Polycarp was at least that old. He learned the Faith as a child as the foot of the Apostle St. James (or was it John?) and passed it down faithfully into the early second century.

Yes! Polycarp is such a great Saint and so important to the early Church. I think he’s gènerally underappreciated
